Ohio Owner's Club

Is it true that there are no referral perks in Ohio?
It is true. However, I'm working with some owners from out of state to maybe pass our Ohio referrals onto them so that at least someone can benefit. Believe me, at 18 referrals, not one is more pissed than me about this.

Interestingly enough, if you have an Ohio dealers license, according to the law, you could garner the perks.

So, just to clarify, we can take advantage of the referral codes when making a purchase, but we can't benefit from passing our referral codes to others. Is that correct? And what exactly is the law that prevents this? Is it something specific to car sales? Does anyone have a link?

"This is <redacted> from Tesla. Here is a link to the law in Ohio that prohibits referral. Hope this helps your cause."

Lawriter - ORC - 4517.20 Motor vehicle dealer - prohibited acts.

So, Ohio owners can refer people all they want. And fellow referred Ohioans will receive the benefit of free supercharging for life. But the referring owner can not receive any rewards such as the bags, rims, powerwall, etc. And they definitely can't be entered into the S/X drawings.

Thanks to Auto Dealers Association and GOP.
That's why I directed a friend to use the Ride The Lightning Podcast referral code instead of my code...

Well....if you're looking for someone to benefit from out of state referrals, I'll take you or anyone up on that offer. I'd love to get my nephew one of those mini-Tesla cars for the kids. :)

I'm just across the state border about 30 miles into Michigan. Before I had my home charging setup I was in Ohio quite a bit with my car at the Maumee Supercharger (at the Meijer). You guys have both Waffle House and Yuengling...what can I say.

PM me your details (referral code) and we'll figure out some fair way to do this if it's possible.

Looks like some of us are going to participate in NDEW again this year:

National Drive Electric Week Event - Columbus

There are two additional events you are welcome to register for as well. This is a great opportunity to get EV questions answered and figure out how EV's fit into an average person's lifestyle.

A bunch of us used this template from last year and just left it on the screen for the event: Tesla Model S 90D Information Page
