Oil Pump Failure

Message has come up 3 times in the last 24 hours. Taking it in for service tomorrow. First apt wasn’t for two weeks but service recommended I bring it in ASAP due to “Oil Pump Failure” and possibility of the vehicle going into “Limp” mode.

Asked if loaner car would be available and they said maybe but no guarantees!

Anyone else see this?

Had this on my model 3 earlier this year. I couldn’t get an appointment for several weeks, but it made the 260 mile trip to the SC uneventfully. They said it was the oil pump on the front motor cavitating occasionally throwing error codes. This was over winter here, so temps were in the 0 to 25 F range. They claimed that software updates put a tighter tolerance on the performance of the pump, but who knows? Mine was made in Oct last year. They replaced the pump and replaced/refilled the oil. Took them around 2 hours. Should be the same motors because mine is the P version.
