If you reserved a Model X more than exactly 2 years ago tonight, you have a higher # than me. Less than two years ... well, you get the idea. I have gone from relieved - more time to get prepared ($)- to indifferent (it'll happen whenever)- to despondent-(could they just blythly push it back any farther?!?) uugh - back to excited and around & around. Have I mentioned lately that I'd really like to have my Tesla? Just wanted to mark the anniversary. ️ML
I've only seen the patient side. 'Patient' as in 'waiting gracefully', not as in 'ready to be committed'.
yeah, patient or "a patient" there is a maximum wait time, I know. Started sometime in Febuary the year before, I understand, right about the time I found out Tesla Motors was a thing. Took me a while to catch up. I did buy some TSLA in the interim.
Yes, it's hard. I've been holding out for a Model E, and every time I see a Model S on the road, I just want to give in and buy one now!
Welcome to the forum! Check out CPO Model S selection: Tesla CPO Consolidator Cheapest P85 with active air and tech package is $67k, and this is performance version. You will get 50k miles 4 year warranty too.
Mike, I absolutely understand! I am using the TMC counter to remind myself I will be on-line configuring soon! Doesn't help that family and friends ask if I am ever getting the car, or has it been delayed again whenever they see me.:crying:
I bet you optimistically refreshed your dashboard a few times within the first week of placing your order...2 years ago
It may not be 2 years, but Wednesday marks exactly 1 year since I reserved. Still holding out for more Model X information but my interest in Model S is gradually increasing.
I reserved on February 13th which was the first day... In the first 30min... I'm XP268 ... But don't worry I may postpone until around Thanksgiving.
I had a relatively low-reservation number for a Model-S and within minutes of the Model-X reservations going live, I got a 2nd reservation (#008 in Canada). When my Model-S reservation came up, I decided to get a refund, since the Model-X was only 6 months away and I preferred the extra space and AWD. Less than a week after getting my refund cheque from Tesla, they announced the first delay of the Model-X. The Model-X is going to be close to 2 years delayed (the first deliveries were originally set for late 2013). I only hope that my current vehicle lasts that long...
It's been 3 years, 3 months, and about 6 days... Pretty sure you'd indeed need to be committed if you didn't feel impatient at any point!
Atleast Bonnie gave up her early S reservation to wait for the X instead. AO, haven't you clocked a cumulative 7 years (?) in waiting for Teslas?!
I am 3 years and 2 months. This wording came with my email confirmation. Makes me feel like an inpatient. MODEL X: WHAT COMES NEXT? We expect to begin production of Model X in late 2013, ramping up deliveries in early 2014. Model X will be priced comparable to a similarly equipped Model S. More details will be announced as production nears. Thank You! Call us at (877) 79-TESLA or (877) 798-3752 with questions or visit us online at TeslaMotors.com.
Clearly I'm addicted to the 'waiting' part. Wonder if reservations for the Model 3 will start prior to the X shipping.... hmmmm. (Joking! I want my X!)
Waiting for Tesla to do anything is like riding a roller coaster, that is why I decided to buy a CPO car last week. When I first talked to my Delivery Specialist he said the end of next week (now this week). What do you think the chances are that they will be late?
It was strange the moment I first realized I didn't have another Tesla reservation around the corner. Almost makes me want to reserve an X just so I have one
Wow i thought 9 months was bad, multi year is definitely hard core committed. Once we have the cars in our hands the painful waiting pangs will be ancient history
