hi community,

I have a 2022 MYP. So My home charger is 6kw. There is a free CCS 20kw 2 miles away. Figure I can stop by every other night or so to charge for a hour or two, and use my phone. There's also a 10kw charger there too, figure 20kw is much faster if my battery is under 50%.

what y'all think? Good or bad for the battery health? just thinking long term, liked 200k+ miles. I intend to drive this car until the wheels fall off.

TIA!

Shouldn’t hurt anything. The original dual chargers could go up to 22KW (277V @ 80A)

I don't even have a home charger. Other than occasional free charge in the office at 6kW, I have been solely using either Electrify Canada or Supercharger since I picked up the car in December 2021.
According to Tessie, the degradation is 4.5% after 38,500km in 13 months. I know that I'm not keeping the car forever so I'm happy with it. Don't sweat it, just enjoy the car.

Where is this charger? Stonestown? I believe Volta limits you to 30 minutes.

You've gotta be above 80%, maybe above 90%, before you start to see throttling under 20 kW.

Either should be fine. Even 20 kW is not even 0.25C because the battery is so big.
