Hi All, I've just received my first VIN in the source code = super exciting... however it is a really old number and so I wonder if it is just a placeholder? 5YJ3F7EB4KF4241XX (my Xs at the end).
According to @Model3VINs this was from 31 May. "#Tesla registered 3,332 new #Model3 VINs. ~54% estimated to be dual motor. ~34% estimated to be International. Highest VIN is 424327."
Does anyone know if the cars are actually built at the same time VINs are allocated to them? That would seem logical to me, so if not a placeholder... where has the car been for the last 3 months, getting dusty\rusty in a car park??? It is likely to suffer from any early build issues that have been resolved since?
I ordered on 6th May, reserved back in April 2016... but it has been one of the AWD 19" cars that have not come through. Anyone else with a AWD 19" have such a low VIN in source code?
I honestly don't know whether to be excited or concerned.
