Ah... I think when most people mention the performance wheels in forum, they usually are referring to the grey wheels...

@mcornwell - maybe but anyone can order them...they are not exclusive to the performance version...I personally have thought of the sliver or grey as the performance wheels...

Congratulations Tim and thanks for sharing! I'm also planning on getting my windows tinted but don't have any recommendations in MD. Would you post some pics and let us know about your experience afterwards?

You're right about Texas...I had to send my payment prior to the car being loaded on the truck. I hope to get my car in the next 7 to 14 days...(maybe sooner, crossing fingers).

Will do - D&L Window Tinting is who I used years ago for my BMW and still the preferred in the area to my knowledge...

@artsci - Which location did you use last? They only had Route 40 when I did mine and now they have a location in Parkville.

Thats funny. I am in Owings Mills and work in Hunt Valley. I drive Falls on my way to work, but stay south of Shawan unless there is snow (I normally take Ivy Hill).
I will also second D&L. They did a nice job on my 300zx.

Falls Road north of Padonia Road to near the PA border is a fabulous drive, and it's one of the first I'll do when my Model S is delivered. And Tim lives along the way. At speed, with the hills and all of the sweeping (and a few hairpin) curves it's a challenging drive and the scenery is gorgeous most of the way. We live in a beautiful place and this segment of Falls Road captures it to a tee. When I want a fun drive, it's where I go first.
Funny, whenever I'm in Menlo Park/Palo Alto and that part of California, I think how lucky I'll be to drive the S back home in Maryland. It's much more beautiful countryside, green and luscious. Now only if the weather would be better...

@baltobrewer - let me know if you are going to be in HV on Friday. I am sure I will be in the area and could swing by your office. 11-1p are off limits - taking my wife to the spa...
