One Fob, two Teslas?

A slightly different question;
Does anyone have experience attempting to share a single fob amongst two or more Model X vehicles?

Related: Is any portion of the pairing process for fob/car visible to the folks on the forum with dev access to the MCU, who might shed light on this?

(I'm eager to better understand the fob/car handshake [pairing] mechanics).

We have a red X 100D and a blue X 100D.

Initially thought it would be useful to have a single key fob for both vehicles.

But... If you press one of the key fobs - wouldn't it affect both vehicles, when they're nearby? I've gotten used to carrying both key fobs on a key ring in my pocket - and don't think it's really that big of an issue to carry two key fobs.

As for telling them apart, we bought colored key fob colors, which match the color of each vehicle - so we can easily tell the key fobs apart.
