One would think that if he really put his mind (right) on these issues, they would be solved, pronto

1) The smell article is alarming because Model 3 production is behind.

For consumers, it's a disappointment because they want to get their hands on an affordable Tesla as soon as possible.

However, the article is talking to investors and the most money made is not from Model 3 but from Model S and X.

So, that article is off topic because investors want profits and the current quickest and best way to make a buck is re-direct the sales to S and X and NOT encouraging the sales of Model 3.

2) Recent workers' conflicts:

American Tesla workers might get distracted with their own in-fighting as well as being fired so they might be too busy to organize themselves.

It's not very good public relations but it might suit Tesla because it doesn't like union for its own 33,000 workers so that might work out just fine.

On the other hand, 650 Tesla German workers organized themselves so they got a 5 year contract with job guarantee and 30% pay raise.

3) Prescription for recent discrimination lawsuits:

Back to the lawsuit, Tesla seems to claim that it is not responsible because the discrimination happened among "contractors" not Tesla employees themselves.

If so, the quick fix is to stop the practice of importing contracted workers into Tesla. It needs to practice what it does in Germany: Job security guarantee for its workers.

Additionally, Tesla may be really good at technology but when it comes to human interactions, it's time that it needs call for professional help.

It's time to bring social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists in house to solve the problem of workers conflicts as well as racial and sexual discrimination.
