Only 1 driver profile gets the Beta update?

I've had the Beta 10.2 update for a few days now (since Oct. 20th) and have noticed that when my son drives the car and uses his driver profile, he doesn't get the Beta FSD. We tested this out in the middle of his drive and changed the driver profile to mine, and the driver's dash screen immediately changed to the pretty colors. Then when we selected his, it went back to the grey. Thought this was interesting, but am also wondering how other drivers can use the Beta without having to use my settings? Is it only owner-specific?

There are settings you have to turn on which save per profile.

It's VIN specific. And each VIN can have multiple profiles. Each profile has to click accept button for the risks to access it.
