An interesting article on the CBC's website today. It looks like the Province of Ontario looking for ways for condo owners to get charging installed on their condo premises. This has been an issue for many prospective EV owners - they interview a lawyer who acts for many condo boards who recommends that condos not install EV charging.

Plug-in problem: Condos saying no to charging stations for electric vehicles

A good report imo...perhaps, now that we're in 2017, the benefit of "increasing the value of every unit owner's unit" should be stressed more.

A condo building that has charging capabilities, can be currently / will definitely be in the future, have it's units more in demand in the comings years, than a condo building lacking charging capabilities.

Try telling that to current condo developers. They just don't care! They fail to see the light at the end of the EV tunnel.

Developers, going forward, should be easy to deal with...just change the building code...they will have to comply.

The benefit of increasing the value of a current unit owner's unit needs to be explained to each Condo Board, and the unit owners imo.

Agreed. We already impose bicycle parking and such on developers. Why would this be any different.
