I would say "call" because apparently some people aren't in the first batch of deliveries. So if they called me, i'd know was in the first batch

So we're getting assigned VINs before they even produce these cars? If they're starting on Monday and producing them all by the end of next week or following week, they should be ready to ship by Mid May for delivery the last week.

They might get shipped by mid-May but if you recall the last end of year delivery event at the International Center they had 100’s of cars stored at 404/401 and then moved them to the Airport later for delivery. With all the S and X deliveries for June as well on top of the mass of 3’s this is (IMO) going to be a logistical nightmare to pull off.

I have picked up one charity call and a Marriott Hotel fake award call because of this today. If I get a CRA call or a duct cleaning call next I might have to walk to the window and scream some profanities

I got a scam call 2 hrs ago where a woman was speaking Cantonese. A lot of people in my office and some of my friends were getting this automated machine call and we had it translated. It was some scam call. Dammit.

That’s so funny as we were in the car yesterday and my wife’s phone rang through the Bluetooth. The callers id on the car screen was a 416 #. She reached and hit the ‘Cancel’ button. We had talked about answering all calls home and cell until the car came. Then her message beeped. She played it and it was Tesla. She was mortified that she hung up knowing I was waiting for a call!
She’s happy now I got through to The DS today!

Until you get the call and then immediately go into hunting the VIN mode

I just chatted with my delivery specialist. I called her after getting her direct number from sales.
1) Canadian production starts next week.
2) Once car is built then VIN is updated on your Account Page and replaces the RN
3) Once I see this I can call her to narrow down the time.
4) Ottawa deliveries happen a few days after they arrive as they are able to arrange for a truck to ship them to Ottawa. No special place for deliveries so I assume my home.
5) They do not know for sure when these cars will arrive so some specialists are being more conservative in their estimates. In other words it is a pure guesstimate on their part.

Honestly... take a road trip to toronto (use VIA rail) and join in on the party. Could be hundreds of deliveries the same time. Something worth considering.

I have the same config as you and no VIN yet. I did call Tesla though and was told (as have others) that production on Canadian cars starts on Monday and that local deliveries will be late May and early June (not holding my breath on that one)

There's going to be two Red in Oakville at least.

I say VIN since that means your vehicle is in production. A call doesn't mean as much especially from Tesla where things can get lost in the shuffle but a VIN means a car that will make its way to you. It's like comparing a kiss to a pregnancy.
