Don't forget, if you were to talk to a Tesla rep 2-3 weeks ago, they would tell you that Ontarians will not qualify for the rebate. Yes an Order cannot be un-cancelled but according to recent news, Tesla is still trying to get the rebate for those cancelled orders because they are not just going to say "Oh well" to 12 million dollars. A Tesla rep will not be in the know of any new developments so don't count on their word. Honestly, I wouldn't bank on cancelled orders being put back into play with a rebate but with everything that's happened, I wouldn't completely lose that last glimmer of hope to see what happens over the next week or so.

I believe the report from the Tesla Lawyers said that all affected customers who did not cancel had the vehicles in transit by train and truck.
So yours should have been part of the affected vehicles list.
I had a chat with the CS folks and the point I was making was folks with the identical configuration who ordered after me are receiving their cars before me and before or on September 10th. There doesn't seem to any order which is being followed. I have now been given a Sept 17th date after being told the day before end of September.

Also, my bank's HELOC is prime + .5% and they are unwilling to go lower. Anyone know if lower rates are more negotiable if you have your mortgage paid off? Might be time to make a change.

But the orders weren't identical... 18" vs 19" is the difference... which results into different priorities, delivery, etc..
With my HELOC (RBC) you are able to separate the HELOC into 5 separate 'mortgages'. You can lock these separated amounts into the same rates as a mortgage which is typically much better than a standard HELOC where you are only paying interest. For example for a 5 year closed you can go prime minus 0.8. Of course you loose the flexibility of a LOC and would then be locked into paying principal + interest (vs. interest only like a normal HELOC) but obviously that's going to happen anyways.
Not sure what it is called but we took money out of our HELOC and locked it in at 2.99% with TD for a year (closed). We will see where we are in a year and go from there.
For folks installing the wall charger you may want to consider some cheaper options. More than likely 95% of the time you will not be charging from zero, rather it will will be more like a phone from 50% or 80%. A regular 220/240 volt at 35 amps can charge from 80% to 100% in less than 3 hours, at 50 amps in about 2 hours. The wall charger gives you around 70 kph so this will do it in about 1.5 hours. So based on this do you really need to spend over $1,000 you get a wall charger. I am having my builder install my 220/240 40 amp outlet for less than $400.

It is a valid point about the need for a wall charger - but it looks snazzy
. Also, you shouldn't charge past 80% on a regular basis unless you actually need the additional range.I am using 240V and it works okay for daily commute. 3 hours of charge time at night during low peak rate times.
