Ontario Green plate

Just curious for all Ontarians, on the date of delivery, do they give you a green plate? or we need to apply for it later?

You get on delivery, they will charge $200 extra as license fee for it. I had my previous green plate transferred and provided them, they still charged me $200. Which was corrected later to $32

basically you can use HOV lane even with only one person in the car. and green plate look cool somehow XD

Does anyone have covers on their Green License Plates? Specifically the smoked ones?

I wonder if they cause any issues as it would cover the green lettering?

I have a smoked cover on my front plate and the chrome "Tesla" frame on the back. The Tesla frame actually covers the line that says "Green Vehicle" on the plate.

The giveaway is that Ontario green plates all start with GV for Green Vehicle or the French version VE for Vehicle Ecologique.
