You wouldn't expect this from the Ford government as they cut every other incentive towards EVs.

“Introduction of a new ultra-low overnight price plan that would benefit shift workers and support EV adoption is our next step as we focus on helping electricity customers save money and take more control of their energy bills.”

Shift workers? WTAF? So if a shift worker watches TV at 3am they may save 2 cents per month with a lower rate. I am pretty sure that shift workers will have fridges, furnaces and ACs that have to run no matter what shift they are working. Us EV owners will be the big winners and it may make it worthwhile to arb TOU prices if you have PowerWall or other batteries.

But if this makes it even better to own an EV then I am all in. If gasoline prices stay this high then the economic case for owning an EV will become compelling, especially if the cost of charging falls drastically.
