Ontario License Green Plate Numbers Choices

All Teslas from all years currently can have green plates. It's a question over whether you want a personalized plate, which in that case, no.

If you filter for Tesla model S, note it shows eligibility is only up to 2021. The Model Year 2022s aren’t included yet.

I've been seeing brand new Model 3s in my neighbourhood with green plates.

Must be a model year 2021 then, looks like only 2022 model Y has been added to the Ontario list.

Why do I think that it's probably a clerical error? I've seen new Model Ss with green plates anyway.

They are 2022. I've spoken to a couple people on my street who recently took delivery. 2022 models have been shipping since some time in November 2021.

I've also been seeing Model 3s with brand new plates driving around in my daily travels. They can't all be people buying used 2021 cars especially since there is a shortage.

I can confirm my friend that just took delivery of 2022 M3LR at end of February got green plates.

Can confirm I just picked my M3LR up on Saturday and it has green plates.
