Found this and thought it would be interesting for others.
It shows where electricity is coming from in Ontario. Glad there is no coal anymore and even natural gas is just 6.2%.
Alberta has a real-time (or close to it) site at http://ets.aeso.ca/ets_web/ip/Market/Reports/CSDReportServlet. Unfortunately we have a lot of coal still, and gas. Hopefully we'll make our 2030 target to phase out coal, and there is more solar and wind planned in the next couple of years. Still a long way to go here though.
And if you charge at night or on weekends there is likely zero marginal NG being burned to "fuel" your car. So driving an EV in Ontario is pretty much zero CO2 emissions.
