Open charge port with key fob. New feature added

    Cancel all 3rd party charge port openers! Tesla added a new feature to latest firmware. Pressing the trunk button for 2 seconds on the fob key opens the charge port!

    Good thing it wasn't too expensive.

    I have two of these now, we have one attached to each of our key fobs. I was going to give one to a friends overseas who gets a 85D in a few months (LHD). Maybe less relevant now, but yesterday I chatted up yet another Tesla owner I met (IFC), and while he was about to leave, I showed to his amazement how I could open HIS charge port. His kids tried it too, and the entertainment value was great :)

    Works Great!!! I have a 2013 and it must have been in the last update..
