"Open Glovebox" Command finally works....

Honestly don't know exactly when it started working, but was demoing some of the voice commands to a friend today starting with ones that I neww worked "dome lights on", "open front trunk", etc.. then mentioned simple ones like "open glovebox" don't work.. and the glovebox suddenly popped open!

When did this command start working in the MY?

Yes, for some reason I tried some commands myself and this was one of them. It was a real shocker that the PIN screen came up. I now need to test the adjust the mirror command and such. Now, what firmware did this come from......

Very cool. Just was trying out the "fold mirrors" and "unfold mirrors" a few days ago. Not sure when this change happened but I know a lot of us have been talking about it since March.

I literally just ran outside of my office to verify that this indeed works.....and......it does!!!!

Too bad you can't record your own voice command and assign it to a known operation...

"Open the pod bay doors please HAL" = Open Glovebox

Same here, it just started working today - I'm on 44.10.1.

I have heard from various podcast that tesla will sometimes send out OTA updates improving AP and such without actually doing a firmware upgrade. I wonder if this was pushed out without us knowing anything about it.

I had to do a RESET to get it to work, but it works, I also discovered if I use a VC to fold the mirrors, they don't automatically UNFOLD as you drive away.

^ I've seen similar behavior if I use the VC "dome lights off"... they then default to permanently off (even when you open the doors).

That's awesome got try it later. Wish there was a list of all the voice commands. Don't remember seeing lights and mirrors in the manual. But maybe I missed it.

Maybe vc "Adjust suspension softer" or "Dim sideview mirrors" works now? j/k

^ I've only tried "dome lights on/off" and just "lights on/off".. both commands control the dome lights.

Works again. When I picked up the Y in June this voice command worked and then stopped working a few weeks later. Glad to have work again since it always works with the Model 3.
On 44.10.1.

I just said "Straighten all misaligned body panels" in VC, all the panels aligned perfectly... and then I woke up from my dream

You may be confusing your M3 with your MY - the command always worked on the M3 but only started working on the MY this last week. Anyway, glad they sorted it out for us...amazing that such little things please us all.

Nope, I was surprised when others reported it did not work on their MY since it initially worked on mine. Sure enough when I went out to try it again it had stopped working.
