Opening and customizing Model S LED headlights

Hey all. Call me crazy, but has anyone ever opened and customized the inside of a model S LED headlight? I picked up a very inexpensive one off e-bay to look at it and was able to pop it open yesterday. I'm new to the forum here, but wondering if anyone else has done this already?

I'm thiking of painting or wrapping the chrome in black, CF, or even the car color ( blue)

Thanks Tiger. I take delivery of the car next week, so i guess i'll take a look to see what may look best. Who knows maybe i'll even upgrade the LED's to newer and more efficient ones to get even better headlights.

It seems several people have opened up/modified the older HID style lights but I haven’t seen anyone modify the refresh LED lights like you have.

It’s actually a common problem for the DRL lights to fail on the refresh lights (including mine) and I would love to see a write up on replacing just the LED strip for the DRLs.

Would consider doing it myself if it weren’t too difficult.
