If you look at their website cover install animation, it appear the center cap is a key "anchor point" for the wheel covers and has to be a separate part. So to ease wheel cap/cover removal, perhaps their made it raise to allow for "pry out".
I don't think it takes too much away from the covers appearance, and with the black color you probably won't notice it from over 30 ft.

Back number 1,000 on Kickstarter and they alerted me I wouldn’t get shipping date until mid March (for now)

They could have just copied the engineering of Tesla and put a hole in the cap to make it easy to pull off with a tool. Oh well.

Yeah, but if Tesla would have had better styling/engineering, we wouldn't be rushing to replace our wheel covers:rolleyes:

Ask and ye shall receive! I'm not a super big fan, but maybe its just because they show off my weatherbeaten winter tires. The gloss llevel of the black is pretty much a perfect match to the satin black of the blacked-out trim of Stacy's Mom.

it is kinda disappointing that Tesla hasn’t made an alternative to the ho hum Aeros though.

black rims always look *sugar* if the wheels are dirtyish. put some tire shine on your tires (and use oil based in the uk).

Those are so much better than the Aero. Your picture that has both says it all.

Can you provide the measurements of the internal center cap (not including the edge)? Going to order some decals.

Would of been nice if the center cap doesn't have the logo...

Maybe someone can 3D print some without them?

56mm. 2.25" would be just a touch too big. 2 and 3/16" would be a touch too small, but not bad enough to worry about.

Plenty of options on Aliexpress or eBay to customer print logos and decals specifically designed for center caps.

I believe the center cap is debossed with their logo, so putting a decal on top of it may not give the best look.

You can buy thick dome style 3d decals, they will sit on top of the logo. I have my summer set with these type of decals sitting on top of TSW center caps with their debossed logo.

Umm, that would work. Might stick out a little bit, hopefully still looks good.

I think they look great from the pics, much better than aero covers. I ordered late in the game on Feb 23, estimate is April for delivery in Canada. Fingers crossed!
