Super excited to have ordered a Model S. Getting same color combo seen here. Here's some shots from the driveway test and kids checking out the third row.

Congratulations on your order! So did the showroom demo car make it up your driveway without scraping with the Air Suspension set at the standard height or did it have to be raised?

Are you getting the Air Suspension or Coil?

Getting the air suspension, we had to crank it up. I'm going to get a driveway specialist to see if we can smooth it out near the bottom. With a full load it will scrape. Thanks for the congrats. More excited about Tesla than any other car I've bought. It is a world changer and just the beginning. I decided I wanted to be a part of it even though we already have 4 vehicles. I'll be selling my 14mpg Titan though (heard Elon mention making a truck which is exciting)

The idea of the air suspension is to maintain the ride hight independent of load, so I'm not sure if you will get the car any lower with added load. Of course, you don't want to drive up quickly as the momentum will compress the springs before the air suspension has a chance to react.

Are you having more of an issue going down the driveway then up? That's the usual experience I've had with Ferraris and Lamborghinis, despite their ride adjustment.

Try entering and exiting on an angle. It usually helps a lot.

It really does feel like a major change, doesn't it! Congrats on your order, and good luck heading into the long wait for your new Tesla. It's amazing how much time slows down when you're waiting for something like this. Fortunately there are a couple books, plenty of YouTube videos and articles on the Tesla, and lots to keep yourself occupied as you pass the next few weeks and months. Enjoy!
