I read a few threads about opinions both ways.
My 64 Vette is solid Black. Tough to keep clean but beautiful when you have it clean. I enjoy waxing the cars so I went for it after reading a number of threads.

I'd add an early Expel wrap and some perhaps window tint. The Expel will “heal” tiny scratches in the sun. It'll protect the paint. I got a front bumper chip driving home the day I picked up mine. You still wax the Expel.

Window tint looks absolutely great on a black car.

Too bad we'll both be in Michigan, my tag would have looked great on your car.
