My DS emailed me last night stating that the car should arrive on 12/7 and be ready for delivery on 12/29 or 12/30. The countdown has begun!!!

awesome news! when is your car slated for production? My DS verbally told me early December and are still shooting for a late December delivery. But nothing official yet

She said it would go into production by the end of November. I will def come back and post when I get the notification.

Tesla just called (not my DS) and said my car is now in pre-production and should finish production next week or the week after. Delivery is still expected to happen mid to late December.

My VIN was assigned on 10/27, my DS sent me an email a few days ago stating that I will get the car in Dec, then I received the production confirmation email 2 hours ago. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised as I was expecting to be notified sometime after Thanksgiving!

I just went and updated the online delivery spreadsheet as well.

I didn't see you on the delivery spreadsheet so in case you aren't aware, it can be found at the link below. You can enter all of your info so others can get an idea on progress based on historical trends.

That's awesome man! My vin was assigned 10/28 so I'm crossing my fingers that it goes into production before Thanksgiving like yours! I'm on the East Coast though, I'm sure they group production/deliveries together.

Ok, here's another update. I don't know how this is possible but I'm not going to argue a 1 day production?? Regardless, I just received the following via email this morning.

I think that is a function of where you live. I can see that being possible if you are on the west coast but the way my DS explained the process that would be highly unlikely for the east coast.

I live in Nashville and my understanding is that there is a Tesla rail hub in Birmingham, AL and I live only 2.5 hours from that location. From there it gets shipped via truck so you may be on to something in that I happen to live close to an ideal distribution point.
