I have ordered a model 3 via Lex Vehicle Leasing. should they give me a RN number or a VIN number. im trying to chase delivery but i think impossible without this detail. can anybody advise.

I'd give up on the idea. Tesla make cars, ship them and then as the boat is nearing the Europe they try and match orders to the cars coming in. You may be lucky, you may not. This is nothing like the process of ordering a uised car from any other manufactuer who can typically give you a build slot at the time of ordering and you can then track it from then on.
You may be lucky, you may not in the matching process. I would look at inventory sites like tesla-info and ev-cpo and if you see your spec of car come up then get on the phone to get it matched up with that one. You'd be surprised how clunky the matching process is.
