We are planning a September 10 electric car rally (all electric cars welcome) from Ottawa to Merickville as part of the Ottawa commitment to the National Drive Electric Week.
The Plan is
1. To depart at 10:00 AM from from IKEA at their electric charging area.
2. I am organizing a route to minimize major highway driving.
3. Arrive in Merrickville around 11:30 or so. The restaurant we plan to use - The Yellow Canoe - would like us to be seated before 12:00. An 11:30 arrival will allow us to find parking, meet and greet, and find our way to the restaurant.
4. There is a parking lot across the street from the restaurant. In addition there is plenty of on street parking.
5. After lunch you can sightsee and shop in town and then travel home on your own.
I think this would be a good Ottawa contribution to the Electric Drive Week Program.
