After a few orders and changes last month, we just picked up our inventory discounted P100D today. It was produced in May 2018, has 2,750 miles and is almost cosmetically perfect. A bit of curb rash on one wheel. I found it in St Louis a few weeks ago and it was shipped to our local service center. Delivery was suppose to be last weekend but it was delayed a week mainly due to my schedule.
I’m not sure if I’m more pleased with the car or the deal I was able to find. The order agreement shows a savings of about $68k from the original msrp at the time after removing ludicrous mode. If I added in the sales tax savings and the federal tax credit, that is about $76k off what it would have cost at full price. If it were not for the crazy deals at the end of the quarter, I would still be happily driving our old S.
It looks almost identical to the 2016 S 60 I traded in, but the performance is unbelievable for a 5,000 lb car and the improvements over the last 2 years are nice. I’ve avoided test driving a dual motor performance model because I knew I would want to buy one. The last performance I drove was a P85 in 2013. The punch off the line for our new P100D was a lot more than I expected.
