Most geeky car detailers like us will chuckle to ourselves when we hear someone say, "It shines like it was on the showroom floor!" because inside we're saying "...really, that bad huh?"
This isn't a knock against people who think their brand new cars are shiny enough right off the showroom floor. But we love it when we hear people ask "can you make it shine more?" Of course we can, you've come to the right place Mr. or Mrs. new Tesla owner.

We love detailing Teslas and specifically interacting with Tesla owners; you guys are a different breed. I'm not saying that to kiss your butt and earn your business, it's just true and you know it and are proud of it!
As with all new cars, a good certified detailing technician can do myriad levels of paint correction to make your car shine to whatever level you desire. From just a good 1-step initial polish, to a 2-3 step polishing process, to a full paint correction job. Most new Tesla owners choose our 2 step polishing process followed with a ceramic coating of Opti-Coat Pro Plus for long term protection. This results in great shine that will last AND gives you great protection from the elements for years to come, especially on darker colored vehicles.
One drawback we've noticed about many Teslas (from a detailer's standpoint anyway) is the occurrence of factory defects in the paint, most commonly sanding or DA marks where they've tried to remove painting defects, and then they never finish the job and remove those sanding marks. Check out this short video we made addressing this issue. (I'll post a more clear video the next time we get a darker colored Tesla in that needs paint correction. Defects in silver just don't show up very well.)
Most buyers never notice these marks, but then again we're not after most buyers, we're after the buyer who specifically looks for issues that need to be fixed. This is where Fresh Start Detail comes in. The harsh truth is that brand new cars are not perfect, many clients do not like hearing this about their new baby parked in their garage. Repainting of panels, door dings, poor paint finishing techniques, etc. are all common in brand new cars, sadly this includes our beloved Teslas. Most of the time these small issues can be corrected without any long term detrimental effects, ie thinning the clear coat so much that the longevity of the paint is sacrificed.
