it's been recommending that I charge at closest-SC-to-destination to 100% and then splash-and-dash on the way back

I've not seen that ... but I too have found that ABRP is not perfect, some route and charger choices not ideal, and some updates have had bugs ...

I'm sure obvious, but in case not, you can put a Supercharger as waypoint (click the Pin and "Add as a stop"). Probably have to Drag&Drop to right point in the way-point list. You can then use SETTING Icon to set the amount of charge (Time or Percent) at that location and recalculate. maybe that will "fool" the 100%-on-outbound calculation to give you something sensible?

Also worth checking "Show settings" and "Show more settings" in case some daft value has crept in there. My journeys all became a lot easier when I had forgotten I'd changed the car for a 20202 Roadster :rolleyes:
