Yes they will. I will certainly report back with how it goes!

Today I placed an order for VMR V804 wheels 19x9.5. They are 3 lbs lighter per wheel than the OEM 19's. kbecks13, you're correct they will machine them to fit the Performance 3 with upgraded brakes and the center bore is 64.1mm, so no hub ring!!! Whoo! 7-10 business days to machine, ship, and deliver. Excellent service. kbecks13 thank you for the referral. Hopefully I will have these by Friday of next week and I can report back. Highly recommend Velocity Motoring in Anaheim, CA

I'm right behind you, just ordered some 19x9.5 V710FF's and they are going to mount/balance RE-71R's for me as well. I am SUPER excited to get this bad boy on the track and see what it can do :)

Next step is those mythical @MountainPass sport coilovers for the Performance model

Nice! I’m going with Toyo Proxies R888R’s so you and I will need to compare notes on feel and handling. RE71’s are a great tire.

A few pics from this week. Getting ready to mount tires on the rims.

No rub under mild cornering, so 19x9.5 with 275/35/19 will work. Will need to take it to the track for a full test. VMR 804 wheels work and look fantastic! Toyo R88R’s are crazy grippy. Great tire. I swear there is only 2mm or less clearance between the upper suspension strut and the tire. Needs to be lowered to get the look right.

Sasha, where are my coilovers?

Those are some major meaty tires. :) BTW, what offset are the wheels?

Those are some major meaty tires. :) BTW, what offset are the wheels?

+ 35 offset. I may need to get +30 or +33. The gap between the tire and suspension is less than 2mm. I suspect under really hard cornering it will rub against it. For example, I tried to slide a small piece of construction paper between the wheel and top suspension component and it barley slide through.

Road noise significantly louder. The tread on these tires is insane. Not a daily driver setup for sure.

I ordered a set of VS Forged wheels. Originally I spec +32mm offset, but then later changed it to +35mm. Here are couple considerations that push me to go with +35mm offset.
  • I figure with +35mm offset I would be able to use spacers to create more clearance on the inside if needed.
  • I plan to upgrade the rotors to directional vane rotor to improve the cooling. Currently, I'm unsure of the thickness of the aftermarket rotor hat. If the rotor hat is like on regular 3 which is 5mm thicker than DP+, then it will effectively make the +32mm offset to +27mm offset. For sure this will protrude out from the fenders.

So the setup I went with is a bit too close for comfort. I had to add 3mm spacers on the fronts to get enough clearance. Once my 275/35’s wear out, I will go down to 265/35 and drop the spacers. That setup will certainly work.

So to recap, on the performace 3+ best fit is 19x9.5 +33 ET with 265/35/19. This is what knecks13 is running. Absolute max is 275/35 with +33ET or +35 offset with 275/35 and 3mm spacers.
