Lehigh Valley Mall Hope?

I drove by the other day and saw a clearing in parking lot by Macy's facing route 22. Looks to be about the size of a typical supercharging pad. I have not heard anything locally in the news. Has anybody heard any updates?

My wife wants to take the Tesla to Sesame Place this fall... Allentown *should* allow that from Syracuse without the additional 2 hours through NYC. Sure would be nice.

would be an excellent location close to Roue 309, Route 22 and I-78, I-476 (PA Turnpike)

Yeah, frankly that looks like a better location overall than Lehigh Valley Mall, just from the perspective of accessibility from multiple routes. Good find!

Very nice. Tesla folks told me to expect Harrisburg and Allentown in Q3, and Erie sometime after (sounded like Erie site selection still not complete).

That strip mall doesn't really have anything 24 hr in it that I know of. Everything is pretty dark and closed down after hours so this location surprises me. I would've expected Tesla to try for the Casino even though it's a bit further away. Still this is right near my house so I'll keep an eye on the location as done previously with the LVM site.

This looks like a fantastic location! Much better than the mall. Should be a nice quick easy on/off from 476 or 78.

This location is fantastically perfect - I reached out to the property owner in March to urge them to consider a Tesla Supercharger.
I'm sure Tesla was already on it but I'm stoked because this will be even better than the mall!
It looks like it adds 7 minutes (plus charging) to trips up the Turnpike. For us, no more leaving the car in town at a L2 charger over night when we visit NEPA.
Fingers crossed this happens by Christmas when the temps and elevations really suck up battery capacity.

If I remember correctly the Whitehall approval process took 3 months to work its way through the bureaucracy. It could be awhile before construction starts. First meeting tomorrow.
