Paint peeling in layers

Hi guys, got a 3-year old model 3 that’s been lovingly taken care of by us (first owners), but it’s producing endless problems, the most recent being the paint. The bottom of the car on both sides of the vehicle got paint peeling off in huge layers, few inches at a time. Local Tesla service rep says “oh but model 3 is a sports car and it’s low to the ground so it’s bound to happen”. So far Tesla is refusing to take care of the problem saying it’s not under warranty. Let me emphasize - it’s not a tiny paint chip from the rock, it’s large layers of delaminating paint. Am I wrong in thinking that a car paint should not be doing this at age 3? We had and have many cars over the last 2 decades, and none of Honda and Toyota vehicles (some going onto age 12) ever done that! Anyone else experienced this manufacturer defect?
The brand new model 3 we got already had window button break and one of the upper control arms break in 3 years we had it. There’s manufacturer recall on something called trunk harness that’s been announced nearly a year ago and hasn’t been taken care by Tesla as of yet. We are starting to dread of what else is wrong with it.
