Paint + PPF + Ceramic vs Wrap

I love red cars, so the MS I have on order is red.

Plan on getting it (front) PPF'd and ceramic coated, estimated around $4,000-5,000-ish.

But now I'm wondering - if the red costs $2,500 and the PPF + ceramic brings the total cost to $6,000+... is it cheaper to just get a wrap?

Stick with a plain white exterior from Tesla and then get a wrap for the same price?

Do wraps have the same color depth and gloss as the paint would? Do the offer the same protection as PPF?

I like your original plan.

A color wrap in and of itself doesn't offer nearly as much protection as PPF, which are thicker and more durable. You could do PFF over a wrap, but now you are adding more cost. Second thing is gloss wraps IMHO look like bad paint jobs. They have gotten better over the years, but I don't think anyone will look and think its anything other than a wrap. And don't forget the door jambs and underside of the hood being white would be a turn off for someone with OCD like myself.

Now if you like matte finishes, you could do a matte wrap...
