Paint quality of MY

This guy dramatically acts like it is the end of the world.

Goes over, 3 inches away, with a specially designed halogen inspection light that exaggerates the flaws. Most people drive cars with paint inperfections like this every day, without a thought.

In his opinion, the Mona Lisa painting is a piece of crap, because he can see some brush strokes:)

He would find all diamonds to be crap because he can see flaws with an electron microscope.

Egotistical detailers gin up the price and value of their work by pointing out imperfections that would go unnoticed by the average owner. Once pointed out, with distain, the owner of course will be unable to "unsee" them and pay thousands of $ to remove the offensive blemishes. Of course, 6 Months later, the car will be once again covered with these hardly noticible rub marks.

Tesla does a production finish and paint job on their cars. Similar to most other cars, close inspection can point out areas where time and money could make it even better. Many want a show quality paint job from the factory, but unfortunately even the finest vehicles in the world come with imperfections (if you look close enough)

Gotta face it, these cars come from the factory with imperfections. That is the reality. Some rub marks, blemishes, paint nibs, fish eyes, rough welds, orange peal, paint mis-matches. You may also see evidence of corrective work sometimes. A little polishing compound, a spot touched up, holographic swirls from being wiped down. This is the reality of all mass production vehicles.

Reality is that most of these cars are just fine. They work great as personal transportation and offer an alternative to driving a gasser.

Each owner needs to make their own decision to determine if the quality is up to their high expectations, but there is also the possibility that for many it will not reach their expectation of perfection.

Same thing with panel gaps. Tesla is known for their panel gaps. Always surprised with people reject an entire car when and easily fixed trim mis alignment causes them to reject an otherwise fine car.

Gotta remember that these cars are produced in high volumes by a combination of human beings and robots. They are good, but not perfect.
