Paint Repair Outgassing Period?

I have an M3P which came from the dealership with some chips and defects in the paint, so I had them fix it up with a respray of the affected areas.

The paint shop suggested that I need to wait 4-6 weeks for the new paint to cure before wrapping the car in PPF.

Does this sound accurate? All information I can find suggests it's related to 'outgassing' but that most believe modern paints only 'outgas' for a few days, not a few weeks.

If it is accurate, what are Tesla doing differently?

Paint will offgas, any plastic does and paint is a plastic. Offgassing is that new car smell BTW.
Paint will usually offgas for about a month, but it is weather dependent, in the hot Arizona sun it will finish way sooner than in say the Pacific Northwest.
Usually you can smell it, and once the smell is gone the offgassing is pretty much done. So try smelling the area.
