Painted my Aero wheels

I wanted the wheels to look like polished aluminum and thought I'd give it a shot. Worst case I would just have them powdercoated anyway. Everything went perfect until I applied the clear coat. Overall I don't mind the look and I'll keep it this way until I feel otherwise.

Not looking for opinions or approval and such. Just letting everyone see how it turned out.
First couple pics show how it looked before clear coat (unmounted) and with clear coat (mounted). Seems "chrome" paint like the Spaz Stix I used all have issues with losing their shine when clear coated. I'm happier with this look than the stock color.

This looks great with no chrome delete, it's a nice combo.

Do you need to put on the clear coat? Yo should look at options, there has to be a solution to make it not lose the shine.

The paint by itself isn't strong enough for wheel duty. I used a 2K gloss clear coat so it's plenty strong now, but dull silver underneath the gloss clear.

Looks nice. That spraymax 2K is tough stuff. Was it hard to tape off?

Taping it off was no problem. I cut a hole in a large piece of cardboard to cover the outer edge of the tire that wasn't taped.
Definitely don't use tire shine for a few weeks before taping. I scrubbed the tires and the tape still had a hard time sticking.
