My Roadster has been in a few parades. Electric cars are generally great for parades because they are quiet, don't pollute, are easy to modulate at low speeds, etc. Unfortunately, despite the fact that the Roadster is a convertible, it is hard to stand up in it without standing on the seat as the windshield rakes back over the floor. The pano roof on the Model S makes it a perfect parade car. Just open the roof, slide the passenger seat all the way forward: Step in to the back seat, et voila, you are parade-ready. Lots of room, things to hold on to, no leaning, etc: I think it's clear that Tesla has the lucrative parade market all locked up.
Yeah, I should photoshop in something a little more threatening than the charging cable. (It's my son in the pic; he was happy to take a break from studying for the GRE).
That's an awesome picture! You should redo that picture in front of a green screen or something. I'm sure the photoshop experts here could have a lot of fun with that by adding an invading force behind him.
Ha! Love it. I'd be wearing the same thing (It's a Norsk thing). Hey, thanks for stopping by PDX / the Cheesecake Factory this week to meet us all. Sorry I didn't get down to your end of the table to hear more stories. It was great to see your car though.
I needed that hat and sword for halloween! My chin braids are getting quite long and viking - like Awesome pics! I can't wait to get up that way with my S. (Washington rocks!)
That is Narsil, the sword Isildur used to chop The One Ring (and some fingers) off Sauron's hand. Christ, I really need to lay off the fantasy novels and movies a bit ...
As I suspected, JP must be a blood sucking leech (a.k.a. a vampire), since he doesn't have a reflection on the hood of the car!
You will need a Model S parade thread. http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showthread.php/930-Roadsters-on-Parade Or a "Teslas-on-parade" thread.
As much as most of us dislike Mr. Peterson, I don't think anyone here really wants to see his head on a stake, and no one is going to mistake my 45 second Paint Shop Pro job as a threat to him...
