Parking in underground with no LTE reception

My car is parked underground with no LTE reception. How do vehicle updates happen and how do I communicate with my car using the app?

You need wifi for Software updates and u need that or LTE to communicate with car

The 3 doesn't have wifi yet (except at the service centers).

You will need a connection to interact with the car but don't need it to open the doors/start the car as that uses Bluetooth.

Any service updates will download when you have LTE reception and once fully downloaded, it will give you notice to install (you do not need to have reception to install once it is downloaded).

You car will get updates once it hears the cellular network. And you'll be able to control your car once it hears the cellular network.

There's no magic.
