Yeah, it's pretty shocking from a design perspective that an entire front loom is needed to get an indicator working. I'd like to hope this has been resolved on later cars!

As @Casss said the very shortage of parts that led to this being written off is exactly what makes the car so valuable for others, and tips the scales in write off terms :(
 
Likewise can't believe they've written that off - seems highly wasteful in one sense, but maybe it's also driven by a high demand for stripped parts.

Sorry that means you're losing your cherished car though because of a wiring loom design.
That's one thing that really cheeses me off - the waste :( The high demand for parts is a fair call - it will be a donor for many other cars, so that's good I suppose. But let's face it - 70% of that car will just sit and rot somewhere now.
