passenger footwell lights removal

Is there an easier way to remove the footwell lights from the passenger footwell?

They won't pop out from the front easily with a spudger, and I removed the entire panel they are in and still can't get the clips to pop out.

If I remember correctly, that one was the toughest one to deal with, but I don't remember doing anything special other than really making sure I got the pry bar tool all the way in there. Good luck!

Ok 20min after I posted I managed to get all the other ones installed.

The footwells were the hardest, and one door.
Passenger door I started with and couldn't get the lever on the wires undone. Had to use pliers and and a screwdriver to lower the lever and pull the wire away from the light.

Secret to the passenger light, assuming you don't care too much about damaging the oem, is to just bend the clips from the backside.
I honestly couldn't get it free. I tried even pushing in the clips on the side while pushing it out from the back and nothing... Oh well, I wouldn't need to install the oem ones again, but that might is a little beat up, probably will still clip in and work, but definitely looks like someone attacked it

I popped all of mine, door and footwell lights, with a very small flat head screwdriver. Came out easy.

I did. I put the Tesla logo one's from Abstract Ocean that are now ceased and decisted

Cool. I was thinking of doing this as well when I noticed the lighting is barely effective. Oh has the led change improved the lighting for you?

Well all the lights are led, just 3rd party ones are brighter.
