My Model 3 developed a problem where the home charging was limited to 32 amps instead of the 40 amps I should have been getting on my OpenEVSE. This behavior also happened on other L2 chargers that I used, so it wasn’t a voltage issue at home. This required an all day job to change out the main high voltage electronic module ?located under the rear seats?, so Tesla wanted the car at the Service Center instead of sending a Mobile Service tech to my home.
What to do for 8 hours while they had my car in a city 175 miles from home? I decided to use the loaner car to go to Worlds of Fun (amusement park), which I hadn’t been to for maybe 20 years.
Monday was a good day to go. It was VERY light attendance, especially in the morning. Eventually, more people showed up, but There were no lines, which was really nice. Sent these pics to family/friends with the caption of “The moose out front should have told you the park was closed.” I did miss the opportunity to do slo-mo video with Chariots of Fire playing as I ran to the front gate.
No pellet gun required!
It doesn’t always work out like this. I went to Cedar Point on the last Monday of July a couple years ago. The lines were LONG all day long... ;(
