Just noticed that the Payment Method section is back on the Model 3 MyTesla page.
and it sticks if you add a card...
Take my money, Elon. Just...just take it and blow it all on hats.
...and ruin that hair he's thankful for, heck no.
It'll be used on cool jackets for presentations.
Added my CC. The main page button disappears, but the details stick in Account Settings.
It has remembered the credit card info I put in earlier this month when I made my reservation.
TM doesn't need my payment info until I get a invitation to configure my Model 3.
You will need a credit card for the $1,500 to allow you to place an order for the car. Once you place an order the $1,000 reservation fee along with $1,500 you put on your credit card will become non-refundable. You can't use it for a deposit on the car. For that you need a wire transfer or check. In the future you will need to have a credit card on file if you don't have free Supercharger miles to pay for charging.
Not every car requires $2500 to place an order. CPOs are only $1000. I suspect the deposit price on a Model 3 is only $1000 and it will just convert to non-refundable once the car is configured without additional funds being required.
