Southwest corner would put them in front of Subway. With Carl Jr's supporting SCs through out Arizona, I always hold out the chance that they will somehow snag a location if they can.

Stopped by yesterday and didn’t see any progress. I drove by the Carls Jr (but doubt it will be built there). I also took pictures from the Subway/MVD parking. Here they are!

Markings are a hopeful sign I think.

Going through there tomorrow -- for the first time, nav is suggesting that route! (I guess I/others have proved it can be done by doing it anyway several times when nav insisted on Flagstaff instead). Maybe they'll have it done before I make the next trip to Phoenix in December.

I live in the east valley, and left with about 200rm. Got to Payson with about 107rm, but I wasn’t going very fast though. 70mph most of the way. On the way back, I left with 86rm and made it to the Scottsdale supercharger with 18rm. A trip to the Rim will be a piece of cake once the Payson supercharger is built. That’ll be nice.

the markings have been there since July when I last visited. Hopefully they get started before end of year lol.

OK - good to know. I think markings have an expiration rate of a few days. Once real work begins, I think new markings will be needed. I wonder what the delay is? Maybe low on Tesla's priority list.

Actually it doesn't look like a long delay at 142 days so far since permitting. Several other sites are over 300 days since permitting with no action. Carlsbad, CA is already at 400 days.

I sure hope Payson doesn't go that long!

I saw a report on Electrik that said tesla installed like 4 superchargers this quarter. Im sure they arent spending any money on things that arent 100% necessary to profitability. Carlsbad CA has been in construction since like march of this year. This charger might be done by summer of 2019 haha.

Once they start it should move quickly! They key is getting it started lol. My guess is summer of 2019 it will be done

It says Fall 2018. I hope someone put some thought into that. Fort Stockton said Summer 2018, and by some miracle it got built in a couple of weeks, but isn't turned on yet. That permit sat for a couple of years. Pecos is also summer of 2018, but no construction yet either.

check that about pecos. looks assembled, but not fired up yet

Sad to speculate this, but it seems we will not get Payson this year...

It's a fairly dry winter up there, but it does get cold. I mean they could do such a construction project in winter, but I agree that it seems unlikely.
