    Hi

Does any body really think that slapping a PC monitor on a stalk is good design?
Its an after thought to get a prototype running at best, very lazy design, probably not quite legal here either.

Why don't you do a poll?

You may recall that the S and X prototypes had a similar setup for the "monitor", but they became integrated as the design progressed to production. I expect the same of the 3.

The one thing they have made very clear is that just about everything with the interior is still very much in the design phase. They even denied Motor Trend any access to the interior for just that reason. No sense getting everybody worked over something that probably won't look anything like it once it goes to production. Second reveal is going to spur another half a million orders!

I would assume it's an attempt to obfuscate any design plans they have, especially if it's something crazy like a HUD.

Anybody who thinks a large central touch screen in a Tesla prototype is an afterthought hasn't been paying much attention. Both S and X have them and, as Two9A said, they were each presented as "floating" screens in their prototypes. Nothing new here, at all.

Everybody keeps bringing this up, but I've been unable to find pictures of the S/X prototype interiors.

Anybody have a pic of the "floating" screen?
