Pearl White exterior... Why do you pay the extra $500?

For those who chose Pearl White exterior, here is a question that bothers me:

I originally choose Pearl White (no they don't have plain white) because 1. I like white 2. it will be less hot under sun
but then I realized it is $500 more than sliver and other colors, except red.

so, what is the reason that you chose Pearl white even though it is $500 more expensive? Simply taste?

Because wifey have always wanted her car in white.. and to her the pearl white is much better than the normal white.. also technically speaking, the pearl white and red has 5 layers of paint, while the other ones only got 3 layers..

Ill just say this the pearl looks a lot better than the standard white

It could all just be voodoo, but I assume since pearl white and the red are "multi-coat" that it costs more in time and materials since there are multiple coats. But maybe that is what I'm "supposed" to assume

Looks good, will show less dirt too, but I prefer the white.

This is the direction we went. We already have a white white SUV and a Pearl White Mercedes S550. So time for another color but didn't want a dark color here in Florida.

I think it just looks nice, especially in my area where it rains alot and the roads and freeways are dirty.
