    Hello,
I made the mistake of visiting the Cincinnati store and driving both the X and S P100D cars. Came away smitten and currently shopping for Model S. My current set of wheels; 2004 BMW 330Ci (convertible)...

As such, I'm now spending hours and hours searching through the forums, reading posts, becoming more educated as a potential owner.

At this time, I am leaning toward purchasing a CPO/Demo unit. I favor buying a depreciated car and then driving it for 10+ years...But, does this make sense when dealing with a car with so much technology wrapped around the axle???

My car is a Demo car that had 1178 miles on it. I leased it because the rates were super low in my case and these cars change so fast that i wouldn't want to own the car only to sell it for another in 2-3 years and suffer the depreciation.

i would rather turn in a lease and just get another fully up to date car. :)

I'm a day one Model 3 reservation holder and made the same mistake you did and test drove a Tesla! :D I bought a CPO 2013 Model S85 back in June and picked it up at the Cincinnati store. It had ~45k miles on it when we picked it up. The 4 year/50k mile CPO warranty that was available when I purchased my car helped alleviate some of the concerns I had with driving a car with so much technology. I understand that the CPO warranty has changed somewhat, but I thought you still had a choice between the 4yr/50k and a 2yr/unlimited mile warranty

I worked with one of the Midwest CPO reps (Brent) out of Chicago. He had access to a larger inventory than shows online. Let me know if you want his contact info.

Good luck in your car search!

Well, I'm the proud owner of a 100D; damn, that happened fast :) Found a Blue 100d in San Antonio, TX, which I certainly hope is not under water right now...super excited! Blue with Tan interior, 1,224 miles on the odometer, extended kappa leather trim, subzero, premium interior and carbon fiber decor

Thanks for the "congratulations", but now I'm having a sleepless night as my mind goes a bit crazy...

    "what have I done?"
"how will they get the 40A-240 from the breaker box to the garage?"
"range anxiety...will I constantly be worrying about range?"
"Charging - the closest super charger is 32 miles away..."

Mind you, this isn't a "I can't afford" this moment, but as a life-long ICE person..., buying used, paying cash, driving them for 10 years, blah, blah, blah...

if you get the 240v plug installed you will never use the supercharger unless you are going on a long trip. (it took me and my brother a saturday to run the wires so a professional electrician should be about the same)

btw, did you use a referral code? (you can use mine if not) this way you would get the free supercharging on road-trips.

I also test-drove S P100D, but I insisted that they would tune it down to simulate 75D. I didn't want to even try the ludicrous mode! :D

Sorry for such a delayed response. I'm struggling to keep informed of when there are responses to threads I've participated in or created.

    Took delivery early (9.20)
Installed 14-50 circuit in garage with NEMA receiptical
Received wall charger w/20' cord on 10/2; Installing tonight using oven(range) cord hardwired into WC and then plugged into NEMA
