Do folks anticipate Tesla to offer the $2000 Performance Boost OTA upgrade on the Model Y as they do on the Model 3? And if they do what's the consensus on 0 - 60 time, 4.3 or better?
AFAIK just like the 3, the perf Y has a different part number for the rear motor. Unless you were in the first batch that was produced pre shutdownI bet it offers it. All the performance Y's have the same motor combo as the AWD Y.

What is the difference between the 980 and 990 motors that you guys speak of?
What is your VIN? Did they switch to the 990 at a certain point in production or is it luck of the draw?My AWD, built this month and delivered two days ago, has the 990 rear motor, not the performance motor.
Companies like Ingenext will ensure that this happens. Which I think is a great thing!

980 is the performance motor, 990 is the cheaper AWD motor. Some early AWD owners got the 980 though.

Paying someone $1100 for a hack for which Tesla is almost certainly already working on a block seems like a very poor decision.
I don't think too much. If it bothers them, they add some code to the system that recognizes if you use it, then voids your warranty for unauthorized modifications.I tend to concur. But It puts some pressure on Tesla. Which I like
