Performance Model(s) feature request: Drag Mode

P3D has Track Mode. The S and X have Launch Mode (or Max Battery, or whatever it is now....)


My idea: In the 3, maintain the drivetrain cooling. In S and X, maintain the launch/max battery mode, but in all P models...

just give all three Performance models a mode that gives the increased regen. It will help with the sudden braking from ~115-0, and if you have enough of a slowdown lane, you may even be able to regen back most of what you just lost on your most recent run.

I think launch mode and max battery power in the P3D would make a lot of sense.

Max battery power mode heats the battery to the optimum temp to get max output from it. This would be nice to have when I want to remove the ... power limiter when the weather is not already super warm.

Launch mode would allow for some amount of pre-loaded torque on the drivetrain before the brakes release which would probably improve the 60ft times and might knock a .1 or .2 off the 1/4

This should be an optional OTA purchase not just limited to the P3. I would think the AWD non-P could benefit the same - atleast to some degree and it's free profit for Tesla.
