Assuming this holds any water then it would make sense that they would wait for Plaid Model S to be released to still keep the S faster - which is what it seems Tesla wants to do in order to preserve margins.
A 1 second improvement would put their quoted number at 2.2 - that seems like a lot on the current batteries and much more likely if it were on their more advanced and upcoming battery. And are we talking on newer hardware or a retro upgrade for existing cars? OTA software update only? Performance model only or others?
How reliable would you say your source of this information is?
0-60 in 1 second. That would be really cool. But unlikely, unless "someone" was referring to the next-gen roadster. The roadster may be able to do 0-60 in 1.xx seconds. And it will cost $$$$.
Good ol' Someone. That guys knows everything.
62kph is 38.5mph. All P3 can do that around 2.4sec or under already. Not in 1 sec lol
0-62 kph 2.4 Around 1 sec faster
Same as regular model S 100p but with 875 pound lighter model 3 performance!!

Dont trust Someone, he has been known to be wrong in the past. His credibility score is like negative 1000%
