Performance Waiting Room

I didn't see a generic Model 3 Performance Waiting Room, and checked the generic LR AWD one and it seems to be focused on that.

So I am in Southern California, ordered Red/Black with AP on April 6, 2019. Everything on my end was complete that day, just waiting on any status changes.

So any other recent M3P orders or deliveries? Where are you located?

I first ordered an AWD on Friday 4/5. Got a VIN on Saturday 4/6, and it was 199364 -- I understand that's a somewhat older build at this point (though, I didn't realize that at the time). The delivery date was 4/16.

I spent the weekend agonizing over the different models, and then switched to the Performance (blue/black, no AP) on Monday 4/8. No VIN or delivery date on that yet. (It's still showing 4/16 on the Web site, but I don't think they're planning to stick to it.) I'm near Philly, for what it's worth.

I was at the San Diego store this past Saturday and they have close to 8-10 M3P's in inventory. I cannot recall the exterior/interior color, but you can definitely give them a call. They were offering to deliver the same or next day, if I went with performance. All these cars had less than 10 miles on them.

Can we get cars in inventory in the US sent to Canada?

They certainly move inventories within the US, but I am not sure if they do it across the border. It might help to speak to your local Tesla store and ask if they can get inventory cars from the US
I did some research and the answer is "No." It's a matter of the amount of import paperwork they have to do. Cars are destined for a country straight from the factory. Tesla has yet to bother to reallocate them after that.

So, I had not ordered autopilot to begin with. The order page had the "add autopilot" button. It brought up a window saying autopilot free, FSD $5000 (which was checked). I unchecked FSD and it then said "Add autopilot for $0". So I clicked that! Then the price went up by $3000. So -- don't click to "add autopilot for $0"!!!

I e-mailed the "Customer Experience Specialist" who did the test drive with me, and she said they will work on updating the configuration to show the new price and free autopilot. Since I hadn't ordered AP to begin with, for me this price should be $500 less than original because the blue paint is cheaper. Got to get rid of the $3000 upcharge for autopilot, though!

I am due to pick up Tuesday and my build now costs 3700 less. There is no way i am accepting delivery without price adjustment. I am trying to talk to someone at Tesla, but no success. Please update if you have any more info.
I ordered before the "Closing Stores" price drop. I got in touch with my Sales Advisor and he said it wouldn't be a problem I'd get the new price. Then when they changed their mind a bit and the prices went back up they contacted me and had me cancel and order again to preserve the lower price. I expressed extreme concern about this affecting my delivery date, but they assured me it wouldn't. And I don't believe it has, as I don't think anyone has been getting new production Performance cars in Canada lately.

My point is though that anyone who has a current order is likely going to get the new price, probably adjusted when the finalize paperwork closer to delivery. The only reason to modify your existing order is if prices were just about to go up.

Quick update, still no word on Red P3D order but did have the delivery rep in NV add a note to my account about the price change from the date ordered and the current pricing as of 4/12. What she informed me is they would issue a check that would arrive within 21 days from the purchase price of the difference amount. This was an alternative to canceling and reordering. Telsa had recently delivered White P3D and seems they have a few Blue P3D on hand (with black interior) so let's hope we in the next batch TEAM RED (and of course wishing the other colors the best as well.).
