It feels like we are in the home stretch. Waiting for this car reminds me of being a kid and looking forward to Christmas... but from the perspective of Jesus' parents.

I agree. Coming on here daily (or multiple times a day ) has made me feel less alone in my crazy.

Ordered an M3 DM with FSD and 19" wheels yesterday. Got worried about buyers remorse and scheduled a test in a Performance. They are not doing test rides through the Black Friday Weekend so I scheduled a ride for 12:00 on Monday. The store said no problems to change my order if the performance is what I want. Now, I've found this thread, I'm a little nervous because there is the $1875 Federal Rebate at stake.
This is what I found on Teslas Web Site this morning:

"Based on remaining production capacity and logistics timing, we recommend that customers in the continental US place their orders by December 8th to take delivery by 12/31. Note this is not a guarantee. Actual delivery date also depends on customer availability and readiness. For customers in Hawaii, view inventory available for delivery."

I guess if it is trending close to the deadline, I could ask for a Fremont, CA delivery point?
Might be nice to take a factory tour too and on the way back to Denver, I could stop at the Giga Factory in Sparks?

The sales guy in Arlington Heights, IL (Chicago) told me the same thing a few weeks ago. Basically December 8 is the date he indicated that would be the last possible date to possibly get a car by the end of the year. I ordered mine in October so I am not worried at all at this point.

Doesn’t look like anyone in North America has received one yet. I’m assuming we will see them matched starting early next week based on Tesla’s commitment (web site) to orders delivered by month end.

Like most of us, I too keep refreshing source code for the elusive VIN...

I cant wait till I see a VIN and there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel..I dont think I have been this excited or waited this long for anything in my life. Im not a patient person..these last 8 weeks have been hell. I will definitely feel a sense of relief when I know the car is actually in production...for some reason in the back of my head I have an irrational fear that something is going to go wrong and I either wont get the car this year or will have to settle for a spec I dont want..
the car would have to be missing a door or something for me to refuse delivery after this long..

Hi all,

been hanging around this site for awhile but just realized there was a performance waiting lobby. I see you guys feel the same way I do. The wait is killing me! Ordered 10/17 (AZ) the day of all the switches and the push back on delivery. Specialist told me he thought it would be right around the corner about 4 days ago. Only frustrating part besides the waiting is having to drive my car / lost about 1200 on revalue after the 30 day expiration. Specialist also said he didn’t believe I would face another expiration before receiving the car. So hope he’s right on that part. Hopefully everyone receives their cars soon! We all are just learning patience lol

I thought I was the only one struggling with irrational fears...it's been so rough.

I emailed my delivery specialist this morning after 8 weeks of nothing. His reply back this afternoon:
"We do not have a VIN assigned to you just yet. As soon as a VIN is assigned I will reach out to you asap with next steps. Hope you are having a great holiday weekend!"

I feel a little bad reaching out to him this holiday weekend but meh.

Hi! Been lurking for a while, but figured I might as well join the virtual nail biting. I ordered my P3D, Blue/Black, on 11/18. I got my 14-50 adapter delivered today, and the outlet gets installed on Wednesday. It'll be all waiting after that.

My best analogy for all this is the final weeks of pregnancy. You know something amazing will happen sometime within the next month, but who knows exactly when. And so you wait. And in this case, refresh the source code (still no VIN).

I keep filling my gas tank only halfway, thinking "any day now", lol.

It sounds like it's going to be a couple of weeks before we take delivery so maybe I'll finally fill the darn thing up.

On a positive note, all these extra trips to the gas station are just going to make me feel even better about my Tesla when it finally arrives.
